Blog Tour: Second Chronicles of Illumination by @CarolPack #review

Young Adult Paranormal/Fantasy
Date Published: June 30, 2015

The Terrorian threat of war continues to cast a shadow over the realms within the Library of Illumination system despite the success of 18-year-old Johanna Charette and 17-year-old Jackson Roth at stopping an earlier invasion. Now, a time machine is missing—its errant use creating ripples in the space-time continuum. And if that’s not bad enough, someone, or something, is trying to steal a mystical book of spells and potions left behind by a powerful medieval sorcerer. It’s a formula that could spell disaster for people on thirteen different realms and change their lives forever.

Review

Another great installment in C.A. Pack's YA Fantasy series. I was lucky enough to read and review the first Chronicles of Illumination as a part of the last tour and I was anticipating the follow-up.

I was particularly happy that everything was taken up another notch in this novel. Everything from the Action to the Drama, C.A. Pack wasn't messing around when she wrote this.

At the beginning we are are inundated with information to get us caught up, but being that it was a 2nd in the series, I didn't feel the amount of detail used was necessary, a refresher is always nice, but I don't want to feel like I'm entering the world for the first time again.

Overall a great addition to the YA Fantasy series world. I look forward to seeing where she takes the characters next.
